Der Ausschluss der regionalen rationale bei den chronologischen Analysen gestattete es, den allgemeinen Entwicklungstrend herauszuarbeiten.
Die zeitliche Fixierung der regionalen Ausprägungen im überregionalen Entwick-lungsschema sowie die Beurteilung der kulturellen Interaktion gestatteten den Entwurf des Modells einer kaskadenartigen Ausbreitung.
